WITH YOUNG EUROPEAN ACTORS
Cultural Europe must also be composed of talent. We should get to know
each other, to be creative together, stimulate and encourage the desire
to work and make films together.
In today’s market of European financial co-productions, we are aware of our lack of
knowledge when it comes to young actors and the best choice to make during
the casting process. The vitality of European cinema exists in the vitality of talent and
regular exchanges between the countries.
We believe in reciprocity and we have had the idea, already applied successfully in
Munich, Germany, during the Franco-German Meetings, of presenting five young
French actors and actresses and five young English actors and actresses
during this London festival. A humble way of creating links with the future.

WITH DIRECTORS AND ACTORS
The French filmmakers and actors who will be accompanying their films, will be
present at a Q&A session at the end of the screenings. Come and meet them !
WITH PROFESSIONALS
What future for the Franco-British co-productions?
The United Kingdom is traditionally one of the most faithful co-production
partners with the French cinema. For the past two years, the financial systems of
the two countries have known an important evolution; a situation which changes the
deal for French and British producers wishing to work together. The last change to
date, from the 1st January 2007, is a new system for tax breaks. The way it works
and the compatibility with the French system, notably the tax credit, will be at the
centre of the discussions between French and British producers.
